Hot Flashes

Snickers candy bar wrapper titled
Hot flash = hot mess for some women!

Did you know that a hot flash can last anywhere from 30 seconds all the way up to 10 minutes? Even when only momentary, they can be quite compelling and upsetting to so many.

It is distressing to suddenly turn red, become dripping wet with sweat, and feel like you are about to demonstrate that spontaneous internal combustion is not a hoax!

Notable Quotes

Theresa

I feel like a broken thermostat…I feel like I’m either overheated or chilled.

Isabelle

Hot flashes are shockingly awful…I mean “have to go change clothes” awful. I seriously could not WORK when I was sweating through my clothes.

Lee

Figuring out what clothes to wear because it is on and off with the layers. Being a sweaty mess.

Diane

I wish I had a magic answer to tell me that not eating XXXX or taking more XXX would help my bloating and hot flashes.

Laura

Wild Card: Kafka’s Kool Ties really help to cool down during a hot flash, especially in hot weather. I also have SmartDevil mini fans on my desk and bathroom counter – inexpensive and effective. Susan also states “the best product I’ve found for controlling hot flashes is Winter, followed by central AC…best money I didn’t have that I’ve ever spent!” Equelle is a soy-based non-estrogen supplement that can help tame hot flashes.
