MenopauseMenu turns six, and I have a present for you! 🎂
Back in early 2020, I sat at my kitchen table with a rough plan for a menopause website and a stubborn refusal to hide any of it behind a paywall.
I made myself one promise that morning. Evidence-based answers and holistic support would stay within reach of every woman, free of charge, for as long as I kept the doors open.
Six years on, that promise still stands. 🌸
Over those years, MenopauseMenu grew into a full resource for these years, covering sleep trouble, brain fog, bone health, mood swings, and so much of what comes with the change. The blog offers articles, videos to watch, and recipes to cook, all of it free.

MenopauseMenu turns six on September 19, which happens to be my birthday too. So this year I flipped the usual routine and put together a present for you.
It comes with a fork.
Your gift brings together the six recipes my readers open again and again. I pulled them from the blog and set them onto one printable card for your kitchen.
A quick peek at the six:
🥧 The Perfect Quiche, where a golden hash brown crust does the work of pastry with none of the rolling or chilling
🥣 Overnight Oats, a breakfast a Swiss physician created around 1900, now packed with chia for extra protein and fiber
🥗 The Perfect Anytime Salad, the one dish I finally allowed myself to call perfect
🍽️ Scallops on Beet Salad, my go-to summer dinner when I want something quick and satisfying
🍝 Roasted Veggie Pasta, where high-heat roasting deepens the flavor while the rest of dinner comes together
🧁 Banana Nut Muffins, sweet through ripe banana and maple, with no added sugar
Food does plenty for you during these years, affecting your sleep, your bones, your mood, and your energy from the first hour of the day. Every recipe earns its spot on that front, and each one will have you scraping the plate.
The blog was the start, and over six years the work grew well past it. The Menopause Menu book blends a medical guide with a recipe book and a gift book, an easy coffee-table read you can flip through at your own pace. 💻 myMDadvocate helps you through the tangle of the healthcare system. 🎙️ Voices With Vigor runs as a free, live talk show where curious, kind, and resilient guests speak their minds without a script. ✍️ And Juxtaposition in Medicine adds a physician-patient perspective to capture the stories within humanity and medicine.
Six years ago this felt like a back-of-the-napkin idea, and you helped bring it all the way here. That kind of support deserves a proper thank-you, so roll up your sleeves, pick a recipe, and report back on the one that stole the evening. 🎂

With gratitude,
Susan
P.S. Cooking at home puts you in charge of the salt, the sugar, and the oil in ways restaurant meals rarely allow. Even one home-cooked dinner a week tips those numbers in your favor.
