“Make yourself your most important client.”
That was advice I gave yesterday…
To a woman with menopausal concerns.
Of course we talked about hormones…
And reviewed what had been tried in the past.
But, more importantly, we discussed ways to reclaim wisdom.
To take back innate power…
And to address how to improve intense fatigue.
✨ Add movement into every day, no matter the weather or the schedule
✨ Increase daily water intake to reduce dehydration
✨ Focus on sleep quality, not just quantity
✨ Consider ways to manage stress a little better
None of this advice takes the place of primary care.
Nor does it solve all health issues.
But it does allow for a better template to rethink symptoms…
And not just jump to more tests, more drugs or more supplements.
Women need to simplify approaching medical care.
Dodge the snake oil sales pitches…
And stop spending money on stuff that does not help.
I love being an advocate for others, especially women…
Especially women in peri/menopause and postmenopause.
It fills my cup! ☕️
